You did NOT let me down. In fact, quite the opposite. I admire you for trying and am relieved to hear that when things went “wrong”, you took a step back, reviewed the situation and at the risk of “succeeding”, you stopped the challenge.

In reply to the Budget Epicurean. I learned how blessed I was to be able to get off it. So I took full advantage of that. He's even more confused today. I told him to help me eat the leftovers that I told him not to touch before haha. He thinks I'm trolling him xD

Oh wow! I think in this case it’s totally acceptable to throw in the towel. As long as you realize what a blessing it is that this diet is a CHOICE for us! I only did mine for one week, and then donated the exact copy of the foods I ate to my local food bank. That’s a way you can keep the spirit of the post going. 🙂 Hilarious that your poor dad is just so confused. He’s probably thinking “why is she buying things we already have, things she never normally eats, and glaring at me for putting green beans in the stir fry?”

LOL! You’re the best, Lily. Thanks for sharing your failure. It’s encouraging to know that even the great ones have an off week. And thanks for introducing me to the SNAP challenge. I wasn’t aware of it. It’s something I’d like to try. But I got to get permission from Mrs Groovy first. Otherwise there will be tension in the kitchen with the crazy redhead.
